DTG printing, Embroidery and HTV

Direct-to-garment printing (DTG)

Direct to Garment is a process of printing on natural fibre garments using specialized ink jet technology. DTG printers have a platen designed to hold the garment in a fixed position and the printer inks are jetted or sprayed onto the textile by the print head. DTG requires that the garment be pre-treated allowing for a stronger bond between garment fibers and the pigmented inks

The print is sharper and has a higher resolution, or DPI, than traditional printing methods such as screen printing.

Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV)

Heat transfer vinyl (HTV) has an adhesive backing, which allows it to be cut, weeded and then placed on the garment ready for heat application.
